Sun City Casino sits in the North West Province, right on the edge of Pilanesberg National Park, near the city of Rustenburg. The resort covers about 5,600 hectares of land in the Northwest Province, and is part of the renowned Sun City Resort. If you are coming from Johannesburg, the drive is approximately two hours. The doors opened in December 1979. Sol Kerzner wanted to create one destination for gaming, hotels, and leisure. That’s been the spirit ever since. Visitors, whether local or from far away, come for the same reason: it’s all in one place.

Our resort is a collection of hotels, each with its own vibe. Sun City Hotel, the original, gives you direct access to the casino floor with standard rooms. For families, the Cabanas are right near the Valley of Waves water park and have family suites that give everyone some privacy.

Cascades is our mid-level luxury hotel; step into lush gardens and find tranquil pools. Here, the interiors feel refined but relaxed, and you get preferred dining seatings. The Palace of the Lost City is our signature luxury-all grand architecture, ornate décor, enormous bathrooms, private balconies, and suites with butler service.

Staying with us means resort-wide shuttles, access to two championship golf courses, water parks, casino games, and all our restaurants, from relaxed to upscale. For relaxation, there’s also a spa and fitness center.

Our golf courses include one designed by Gary Player. The Gary Player Country Club hosts the acclaimed Nedbank Golf Challenge. The Lost City Golf Course stands out for its bold terrain and that famous island green-yes, there are crocodiles.

The main arena fits several thousand and has professional sound, lighting, and backstage facilities. The amphitheater features curved stone seating and an open sky setting. Over the years, classic acts like Frank Sinatra, Queen, and other classic acts have graced our stage, and these days we feature everything from modern bands and tributes to comedy and family attractions.

We also offer conference and meeting facilities. Plenary halls, break-out rooms, meal service, and group accommodation packages are all available. Dedicated coordinators help with planning, logistics and smooth event delivery.
